2. Collection of information and your privacy
2.1 Our Customers
Due to the nature of the CFC Group's business, it requires certain information about our clients to properly service them. Such information may include for example contractual forms, questionnaires, credit applications, credit reference checks, and such like. This may be received via paper or electronic means. Some credit reference checks may involve your consent or alternately be made via a reputable credit reference entity such as eg Dun & Bradstreet.
2.2 Suppliers/ Sub-contractors
Information is required from all those who provide services to the CFC Group for many and diverse purposes. All such information will be held securely on our servers or in hardcopy and is able to be accessed by the party providing such information upon written request to our Privacy Officer.
3.Use and dissemination of information
The CFC Group will only use or disclose information about you in accord with the National Privacy Principles /Australian Privacy Principles. If legally compelled to disclose any of your information by a Court subpoena or eg an Australian Taxation Office statutory Notice, we will attempt to notify you that this information has been so accessed.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any information we collect about you is accurate at the time of its collection. We are not responsible for maintaining updates to your information but you are welcome to provide such updates to us.
The CFC Group maintains your information in a secure environment with the current best data protection available to us. However, as is now well known, data transmissions over the internet are inherently insecure and we request that you bear this in mind when communicating with us via the internet. On some occasions, we may utilise encryption for eg payment on line but you may prefer to choose your own preferred means of payment having regard to your own security policies.
6.Access and Correction of your data
If, after becoming aware of any inaccuracies in the information we hold on you, you are entitled to request a correction of our records by writing to our designated Privacy Officer who is Goran Bogoevski.
